AMY

Bruce Springsteen Bruce Springsteen – The Rising (2002) – Cant beat a bit of Brucey Babes. It’s amazing how many songs you know once you’ve listsened to this CD.
Arctic Monkeys Arctic Monkeys – My Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007) – Not as good as the first album but it does grow on you. Listen to it a few times and you’ll see what I mean.
Madonna Madonna – The Immaculate Collection (1990)- This was one of my first LP’s. All of these songs remind me of the good old days when I were a lass. Take a listen and reminisce back to the 90’s.
The Black Seeds – Into The Dojo (2006) – This is a kiwi band that is frequently played in many of the bars and radio stations of New Zealand. It’s very chilled out and easy on the ears to listen too. Great for our long trips around the North Island.
Brooke Fraser – Albertine (2007) – If you like Joss Stone, Norah Jones and such like you’ll love Brooke. Wellington born and bred her album is one you can listen to over and over again. If you get a chance to see this young 20 something in concert go. She’s amazing live and all her songs are from the heart. Take a listen to Albertine, it’s all about a young deprived African girl she met on one of her many trips overseas.

STU

The Charlatans – Simpatico (2006) —This one almost passed me by. I didn’t even realise The Charlatans had realeased an album recently. Had a few listens and it’s a good solid Charlatans album.
Feeder – Pushing The Senses (2005)
Idlewild – Make Another World (2007) – Their new album and is as good as the last two. Some Idlewild fanatics will say they have sold out from their original punk roots but they now make very listeanable soft-rock tunes. If you like this one give Warnings/Promises a listen. Even better in my opinion.
Black Sabbath – Paranoid (1971) - Classic rock !! Have been listening to lots of classic rock recently and this just superb.
Muse – Showbiz (1999)
The Feelers – Playground Battle (2003) – New Zealand band a bit like Powderfinger / Foo Fighters Lite.
Deep Purple – Machine Head (1972)
Oasis – Definitely Maybe (1994) – Don’t think there is a week that goes by that this doesn’t get a listen to. Best album…..ever !
Arctic Monkeys – My Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007) – To be honest hasn’t grabbed me as much as I hoped it would. Then again the first album was going to be almost impossible to follow up. Still has some quality singles but certainly not as good as the first in my opinion.
Bob Dylan- Blood On The Tracks (1975) – If you don’t have this album…….buy it.
