Party on
Posted by stuandamy on July 26, 2006
Well here we are……jobless and homeless and nowhere to go. This travelling malarkey is just great isn’t it !! Amanda and I are just putting the final preparations together. As you can imagine Amanda has her spreadsheets all updated and in order of importance so we’re cooking with gas. Did I mention that Stu bought me a lovely baby pink suitcase to pack all my clothes in :O)
This week we have been visiting friends and family saying our final goodbyes to them all. Pretty emotional stuff but we knew it was always going to be this way. We make our final trip to Annan this weekend for the family leaving do. Should be a great weekend and can’t wait to see everyone ( Even Uncle Dave !)
We had the “Little’s” leaving doo in Edinburgh on the 8th July which was the first of many. Mum and Dad put on a lovely BBQ and it even stayed dry for most of it…so unlike the Scottish weather!! Mum managed to compose herself long enough to do a wee speech in the house and gave me and Stu some lovely pressies which will be coming to NZ with us. A lot of wine and Gin was consumed and we even managed to get a little shot of Sing Star on the go at the end of the night….I pity their neighbours that’s all I can say.
Talking of leaving do’s (of which we’ve had plenty over the last couple of weeks), we had our friends night out on Saturday which was a great success. So many people turned up to the Walkabout pub and it just made me realise how lucky we are to have so many great friends. All the usual suspects turned up, as well as a few friends we hadn’t seen for a while. Needless to say much beer was consumed which resulted in a nasty Sunday morning headache. The sights in the Lava and Ignite (Cavendish) nightclub certainly didn’t help. It was one hell of an experience. Hippo-croca-pigs everywhere ! In fact Pud mentioned that it was how he would imagine an Annan club to be if such a thing was in existence. Strong words, but not far off the mark.
Attached is a group photo of all of us outside the Walkabout bar. Cheers to everyone that came along. You made our night !

Hi Guys,
I hope you are both having the time of your lives, I still can’t believe that you flew out with tears in your eyes and still never told your parents that you had won the lottery. Sorry about missing you on the webcam the other night but some of us still have to work for a living. It’s not a full week since you guys have left but my liver is recovering extremely well and the doctor has told me that I won’t have to go to the next AA meeting. The new neighbours are really nice; unlike old ones they even have their own gardening tools like hedge trimmers and strimmers. I have been reading the other comments that people have been leaving they are really nice (I wonder if they would be as nice if they knew what I knew) Anyway have to go and annoy someone else now have a great day see you soon on the webcam all the best.
TB or not TB

Bloody Marvellous to have you here in the land of the long white cloud. Might have to nip down to the Masonic Hotel tonight for a flagon or 3 of Lion Brown.
Been a long wait but well worth it. Hope it all works out well and meets all your dreams.
Cheers Ears

Hi Guys…… did I tell you the one about the…………….An Australian ventriloquist visiting New Zealand walks into a small
town and sees a local sitting on his porch patting his dog.
Ventriloquist: “Hey, good looking dog, mate. Mind if I speak to him?”
New Zealander: “The dog doesn’t talk, you stupid Aussie.”
Ventriloquist: “Hey dog, how’s it going old mate?”
Dog: “Doin’ alright.”
The New Zealander is shocked!
Ventriloquist: “Is this Kiwi your owner?”
Dog: “Yep.”
Ventriloquist: “How does he treat you?”
Dog: “Real good. He walks me twice a day, feeds me great food, and
takes me to the lake once a week to play.”
The New Zealander can’t believe his ears!
Ventriloquist: “Mind if I talk to your horse?”
New Zealander: “The horse doesn’t talk.”
Ventriloquist: “Hey horse, how’s it going?”
Horse: “No worries.”
The New Zealander’s mouth is agape.
Ventriloquist: “Is this your owner?”
Horse: “Yep.”
Ventriloquist: “How’s he treat you?”
Horse: “Pretty good, thanks for asking. He rides me regularly, brushes
me down often, and keeps me in the barn to protect me from the
elements.”
The New Zealander is TOTALLY amazed!
Ventriloquist: “Mind if I talk to your sheep?”
New Zealander: “The sheep’s a liar.”
could’nt think of anything else to write. Enjoy
